Nina ("we", "us", "our") operates the Nina — Bedtime Stories mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Nina is designed for children. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation, does not ask for names, email addresses, or any personal information from the user.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

2. Information We Collect

Anonymous Analytics

We collect anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used and to improve it. This includes:

• App usage events (screens viewed, stories opened, features used)
• Device information (iOS version, device model, screen size)
• Country (based on device locale — no precise location)
• Language preference
• Anonymous device identifier (does not identify you personally)
• Session duration and app crashes

This data is processed by PostHog (Privacy Policy), our analytics provider.

Subscription Data

When you purchase a subscription, we use RevenueCat (Privacy Policy) to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives:

• Anonymous user identifier
• Subscription product ID and expiration date
• Country of purchase

All payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment information.

Attribution Data (Marketing)

If you tap a promotional link before opening the app, we may capture non-personal attribution parameters (creator ID, creative ID, campaign name) to understand which marketing efforts brought you to the app. No personal identifiers are collected.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ Your name, email, phone number, or address
• ❌ Precise location (GPS)
• ❌ Contacts, calendar, or photos
• ❌ Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
• ❌ Voice recordings or camera data
• ❌ Any personal information from children

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services which have their own privacy policies:

• PostHog — anonymous product analytics
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Apple App Store — payment processing

5. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Subscription data is retained as long as your subscription is active plus a period required for tax and legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request information about what data we hold
• Request deletion of any data we hold about you
• Opt out of analytics by deleting the app
• Manage your subscription through Apple ID Settings

7. Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. International Users

The app is available worldwide. If you are located outside the United States, please note that data may be processed in countries with different data protection laws. We comply with GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) where applicable.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
